EPUB Reader for Windows — Read Local Books in Your Browser

Read a DRM-free, reflowable EPUB on Windows in your browser with no upload. Navigate chapters and adjust reading appearance without an account.

Open an EPUB file on Windows

Visit the EPUB reader in a recent browser on your Windows PC and choose a local .epub book. The browser reads the book on your device; no upload, account or separate reader installation is required. The page and engine assets must load first. Compatibility has been checked in desktop Chromium; other browser and device combinations need broader testing.

Read chapters and adjust appearance

Use the chapter selector to move through the book. Adjust text size and background for comfortable reading, and bookmark chapters during the current session. Chapter navigation follows the spine headings rather than reproducing the original navigation hierarchy. Reloading or closing clears bookmarks and the book session; there is no persistent library.

Supported books and safe reading mode

Choose a DRM-free, reflowable EPUB. DRM-protected and fixed-layout books are unsupported. Sanitized chapters support bundled raster images, while scripts, original styles, links, forms, fonts, SVG and remote resources are removed. The appearance may differ from other readers; original-layout fidelity is not guaranteed.

Archive limits

Books are limited to 50 MiB compressed, 200 MiB expanded, 20 MiB per entry and 5,000 entries. Browser memory can impose lower practical limits. If a book cannot open, verify that it is supported and try a smaller file. This reader does not remove DRM or convert books to another document format.
